Artist's Description
Temporary Shelter is created with a distinctly impressionistic flair and bold modern colours.
As I have always been inspired by the masters Van Gogh and Picasso (especially in his blue period) I wanted this to be reminiscent of that work. As well I wanted the viewer to feel the movement and hear the wind rustling in the meadow. This is my painting of a young fox finding shelter in the tall grass from the fast-approaching night, and storm.
About Elizabeth Cox
Inspired by light, color, and nature. Elizabeth realized at a very young age that art and creating was her passion, her calling. Graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, she commenced working at an advertising agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth enjoyed city life, but an opportunity arose to travel across Canada and throughout the United States with fellow artists. This adventure provided her with invaluable artistic insights and enriching life experiences. Upon return to Ontario, Canada, she settled out of the city to a smaller town in Northern Ontario. Here Elizabeth started up a successful illustration studio called, Illustratus. Elizabeth displayed her artistic diversity by creating illustrations and design for businesses...
