The beautiful red fox pauses for a moment in the setting sun.
This is the first in my new abstract-impressionist collection called, Wilderness. This painting, and the others to follow, will be an expression of my deep appreciation for nature.
A poem I enjoy about foxes is,
Straight Talk From Fox, by Mary Oliver.
Listen says fox it is music to run
over the hills to lick dew from the leaves
to nose along the edges of the ponds
to smell the fat ducks in their bright feathers
but far out, safe in their rafts of sleep.
It is like music to visit the orchard,
to find the vole sucking the sweet of the apple,
or the rabbit with his fast-beating heart.
.....It is music to wander the black back roads outside of town
no one awake or wondering ...
Inspired by light, color, and nature. Elizabeth realized at a very young age that art and creating was her passion, her calling. Graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, she commenced working at an advertising agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth enjoyed city life, but an opportunity arose to travel across Canada and throughout the United States with fellow artists. This adventure provided her with invaluable artistic insights and enriching life experiences. Upon return to Ontario, Canada, she settled out of the city to a smaller town in Northern Ontario. Here Elizabeth started up a successful illustration studio called, Illustratus. Elizabeth displayed her artistic diversity by creating illustrations and design for businesses...
