Leaving At Dawn is my abstract interpretation of travelling home from the countryside and watching the landscape fly by.
When I was painting this I instantly thought of the poem, Freedom by Olive Runner:
Freedom
Give me the long, straight road before me,
A clear, cold day with a nipping air,
Tall, bare trees to run on beside me,
A heart that is light and free from care.
Then let me go! – I care not whither
My feet may lead, for my spirit shall be
Free as the brook that flows to the river,

Inspired by light, color, and nature. Elizabeth realized at a very young age that art and creating was her passion, her calling. Graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, she commenced working at an advertising agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth enjoyed city life, but an opportunity arose to travel across Canada and throughout the United States with fellow artists.
