Three koi swim among the lily pads in a lush pond as ripples expand on the surface of the water. I love to watch koi swim and interact with each other, the pond plants, water and light. Watching them flow and move, with their vibrant colors and whimsical fins, is like moving art. To me koi are dreamy and calming.
As with most of my work this piece has a vibrant color palette with a modern impressionist feel.
It is also interesting to note that Koi fish are traditionally symbolic of prosperity and good fortune.
About the Original: The sides have been carefully painted in a wrap around effect as I feel this finishes the work and makes it ready for immediate display. There is no need to frame unless it is your personal preference. This work will also come wired for your convenience. The painting is signed on the front and is numbered on the back.
The work will be safely shipped and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, she commenced working at an advertising agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth enjoyed city life, but an opportunity arose to travel across Canada and throughout the United States with fellow artists. This adventure provided her with invaluable artistic insights and enriching life experiences. Upon return to Ontario, Canada, she settled out of the city to a smaller town in Northern Ontario. Here Elizabeth started up a successful illustration studio called, Illustratus. Elizabeth displayed her artistic diversity by creating illustrations and design for businesses...

I love the texture and color Elizabeth. Since it's a symbol for prosperity it should sell.
Elizabeth Cox replied:
Thank you so much Yuri. That would be nice.
