Description
Fireflies is created with a distinctly impressionistic flair and bold modern colors.
As I have always been inspired by the masters Van Gogh and Picasso (especially in his blue period) I wanted this to be reminiscent of that work. As well I wanted the viewer to feel the movement and hear the wind rustling in the meadow.
Here a young fox settles in the meadow grasses as evening comes, the fireflies dance.

The fox has very soulful eyes. This and many of your works remind me of the German expressionists, particularly the style of Franz Mark. The brushwork in the sky whispers shadows of Munch and Van Gogh. Bottom line, however, is how mesmerizing the foxes eyes are. F/L
